When moving to Northern Colorado, it’s important to know the different areas and communities that are available to you. The communities are similar but also very different. You can find detailed information on my location pages for each Northern Colorado Community. Many people choose to move to Fort Collins because it’s the largest city in the area, it has the University and excellent bike trails, breweries and employment opportunities. Loveland, CO is another popular choice because of it’s closeness to Rocky Mountain National Park, thriving downtown, great shopping opportunities, and easy access to I-25. Windsor Colorado is a really nice up and coming community. The median prices of homes in Windsor is a little higher but this cute town is worth looking at. Many people move to Greeley because it is a little less expensive but still offers all of the great things we enjoy in Northern Colorado.
As you explore Northern Colorado looking for your new home, you may want to also check out Johnstown, Milliken, Severance and Eaton. These smaller communities generally offer a lower cost of homes. Johnstown is convenient to I-25 and everything in Loveland. Severance has the unique location that makes it convenient to go to Windsor or TImnath for groceries but is actually a short commute to work in Fort Collins or Greeley.
