Moving to Loveland, CO

There are many reasons why families chose to relocate to Loveland, CO or elsewhere in Northern Colorado. Some people are relocated to this area because of their jobs, they want to be close to family, or they just chose to live in Loveland or other Northern Colorado towns because of the great weather, recreational opportunities, local restaurants, craft breweries and more. The Loveland, CO economy is strong with many employers in town or in surrounding towns. From Loveland, Fort Collins, Windsor, Greeley and Longmont all a very short drive, there are many opportunites for work. Beyond these neighboring towns, the communte to Boulder, Denver or Cheyenne is very doable. But you didn’t come here to talk about work. Let’s talk about the fun things to do around Loveland.

Living in Loveland Coloradohas many advantages. First of all Loveland still feels like a small hometown despite continued growth over the last 20 years. There is a growing downtown with 4 local breweries, local restaurants, bars and unique shopping experiences. Once you’ve explored downtown Loveland, you can als shop at Centerra which offers all of the major national brand shopping stores, chain restaurants and more.

Let’s talk outdoor recreation. After all, you’re moving to Loveland for the beauty and the sunshine, right? Loveland is located just 45 minutes from Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park where you’ll see wildlife, hike to waterfalls and mountain lake or climb your first 14er. Closer to town you can hike at Round Mountain Trail, Devils Backbone, Coyote Ridge, Bobcat Ridge or enjoy the city of Loveland Open Space Trail at Rivers Edge Natural Area right in the middle of town.

The city offers many great parks. Check out Centennial Park for Baseball, Loveland Sports Park for Soccer, and play pickleball at Mahaffey Park. You’ll find many walking and biking trails, skate parks, playgrounds and more.

Did I mention breweries? You bet. In downtown Loveland you will find Verboten Brewing and Barrel Project (order one of their dark cake stouts), Loveland Aleworks (I like the sours or Hazy IPA), Crow Hop (all of their standard beers have won medals) and Rock Coast Brewery (this is part of a restaurant so grab some food). If you’re ready to venture outside of Loveland’s downtown you find Grimm Brothers Brewhouse, Big Thompson Brewery, Dratz and Big Beaver.

There is so much more to say but honestly you need to come check it all out for yourself. If you are considering a move to Loveland, CO give me a call and I can answer all of your questions.
